The annual Kremetart One-Day Stage Race will take place on June 6 this year and already the excitement and cycling spirit are building in and around Louis Trichardt.
This year, the organisers once again improved on their winning formula with lots of innovations in celebration of the race’s 20th anniversary, including a stunning new website, a special birthday edition cycling shirt, a “something-to-remember” medal, overloaded goody bags and bike parks at every stage.
The race, voted one of the best cycling races in South Africa, is decided over four stages, with the first stage beginning in Louis Trichardt and ending at Waterpoort. From there cyclists will race to Vivo, after which they will peddle to Schoemansdal. The final stage, which includes the dreaded Otto’s Hoogte, starts at Schoemansdal and finishes in Louis Trichardt again. A tog bag vehicle will once again be available and the supporter bus is highly recommended for supporters en route.
